Parish Priests of Torricella The ex Parish Priest from the parish of San Giacomo Apostolo in Torricella Peligna, using research from the parish registers and carried out over time drawn, shows “Friends” and all Torricellans a partial history of pastoral life (1600 – 1990) concerning the Parish Priests who ran the Abbey over the centuries. “Amicus certus” said Cicero “in re incerta cernitur.” “A true friend is recognized in times of difficulty”. These were friendly, courageous men who knew how to smile and suffer with serenity for almost five centuries during events that were unfavorable to Torricellans. They spread the word of God and kept alight the flaming torch of faith in Christ within these marvelous people.
